Refund Policy

Etude is free to use without paying, so you can try everything before you subscribe or buy. Because of that, payments are final, with the exceptions below.

Etude Sync

• No refunds for subscription periods, including partly used ones. Cancel any time and Sync keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. Nothing on your devices is ever deleted.
• We refund when the mistake is ours: a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a billing error.
• Outages: if Sync is unavailable for more than 7 days in a row because of a problem on our side, we refund that billing period.
• Sync is sold by Polar as merchant of record, so refunds are issued through Polar to your original payment method. Write to hello@etude.study or reply to your Polar receipt.

Paid Market decks

• No refunds once a deck is in your library, except:
  • the deck doesn't work in Etude, or is materially different from its description and preview, and you report it within 14 days of purchase and it isn't fixed within 7 days of your report;
  • you were charged twice for the same deck.
• Purchases from outside the regions where the paid Market is open (currently Canada and the United States) are refunded automatically.
• If you're in the EU or UK, at checkout you're asked to agree to immediate access to the deck, which ends the 14-day withdrawal right that otherwise applies to digital content.
• A refunded deck is removed from your library.

Where the law says otherwise

Nothing here limits a refund right that the consumer law where you live gives you and that can't be waived.

Chargebacks

Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank. If the charge was our mistake, we'll refund it faster than a dispute would. A disputed purchase is removed from your library while the dispute is open.
